Teen Accused of Running Massive Sextortion Ring on 21 High School Classmates

Mar 3, 2026 Eighteen-year-old Zachariah Meyers, a high school senior in Western Pennsylvania, is accused of targeting 21 fellow classmates in a “high-level sextortion scheme.” According to prosecutors, Meyers posed as European film actress “Claire Mauve,” luring kids ages 14-17 into an online “relationship.” After lulling them into a false sense of security, prosecutors say Meyers coerced them into sending explicit photos or videos. After that, Meyers allegedly blackmailed the students, saying he’d release the images unless he was paid $500. In one case, Meyers allegedly forced a 15-year-old boy to have sex with two adult men on film, in exchange for his “silence.” On today’s episode of Scandal, Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie unpacks the harrowing allegations against Meyers. Later in the episode, she sits down with trial attorney and sextortion expert Daniel Szalkiewicz for a deep dive into the allegations.
